Regardless of our skin colour, eye colour, hair colour or features whether Asian, Caucasian or Negroid we are all one people made up of the same matter, Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, etc. shared amongst all humans, animals. plants and even inorganic forms.

In 2029 there is a 1 in 250,000 chance a 27 million tonne asteroid named Apophis will hit Earth (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8435829.stm). "People's lives are at stake" says Mr Perminov, the head of Russia's space agency. "We should pay several hundred million dollars and build a system that would allow us to prevent a collision, rather than sit and wait for it to happen and kill hundreds of thousands of people" he said.

The train is pulling up to a station. People are milling about the platform preparing to board. Looking out the window I see each one of them and think "Matter transformed". After all they, like me, are made up of matter. Matter formed and transformed in the Cosmos. Matter further transformed on earth. Whether created or evolved we are made up of Matter transformed.

The post "Matter, Life, Intelligence and Consciousness" suggested that Life, Intelligence and Consciousness are properties of matter that manifest themselves only under certain arrangements of matter. In a subsequent post "A train of thought" I quickly got into argument with a couple of people on the World Wide Web, presumably Hindu, who argued that Consciousness preceded Matter, Life and Intelligence and that Consciousness was God.
