I received this in my email today from the Tony Blair Faith Foundation. It is about people of different faiths working together to eradicate common human problems - such as poverty - and making our world a better place for all of us. I thought I'd share it with everyone I possibly can:
Dear Friend,
We've all seen what happens when a small number of people try to use religion as a source of conflict.
That's why it's so important that those of us who seek peace and harmony between religions are vocal - and organised. Will you join us?
We are asking you to do something extraordinary today by committing to take action with people of different faiths to work against disease and poverty.
By working together on this shared cause, we can help build trust, understanding and respect between the world's religions.
Join me now in signing the Faiths Act Declaration:

It's a simple statement of commitment to join us as we work in the coming months and years across different faith communities to make a difference to our world.
Our first campaign is focused on the tragedy of the 1 million completely preventable deaths each year from malaria.
While for some of you those ravaged by the disease may be many thousands of miles away, there's a lot we can do in our own cities and towns to help stop their suffering.
We'll be writing to you in the coming months about what you can do in your own faith community to make a difference - from raising awareness to generating funds.
You will not be doing this alone - you will be joined by people from all faith traditions and none who believe more can be done when we act together.
So, I invite you to take the first step by signing the Faiths Act Declaration:

Together, we will demonstrate religion as a force for good in today's world.
Sincerely,
Hannah Wallace
